Woman In The Workplace

Why are women so unlikeable in the work place and as bosses?

Or is it all just one giant ego trip and/or a way to virtue signal?

So many feminist talking points and narratives have been debunked. And its not really drawing in men and white people to the Democrat party.

s*** dude, the entire movement is a leaderless ideology with a million different ideologies that can't agree on what real feminism is. Its pretty blatantly just a waste of time at this point.
some principles of feminism are fine such as payment equity for women who do equal work and the ability to get jobs that they were denied 50 years ago

the real issue is
So many feminist talking points and narratives have been hijacked by antisocial nutjobs with divisive agendas

classical feminism was a good thing. women should have equal rights, equal pay, etc.

neo-feminism is f***ing nuts. like women are better than men. women saying if they knew they were having a boy they'd get an abortion. they've hopped on the crazy train and they aren't getting off anytime soon.

classical feminism is basically dead.

You're describing the fringe parts of radical feminism. There's a whole lot of feminists that don't take them seriously either.

I wouldn't even call all that nonsense radical feminism. It's almost superiority mixed with sexism.

YPG is cool, but I'm worried that the civil war and fear of subversion will lead them to eschew democracy. Which will doom them in the end, no matter how things work out in the larger civil war.
Also, feminism is great.

In the moral relativism and nihilism of contemporary leftist though, the feminist emphasis on the virtue of consent is an interesting objective foundation to a post-religious school of moral thought. Of course they distort their interpretation of it too, but it's at least interesting to think about.

Being part Kurd and as someone who seriously considered joining the YPG this concerns me as well. Good news is how integrated Arabs and other ethnic groups have become with them through the formation of the Syrian Defense Force.

Fighting any oppression of women, large or small, is inherently a feminist act.

It's but one building block: that an individual must consent, (implicitly) informed and in a sober or otherwise mentally able state of mind, to what others may physically do with/to that individual's person.

That means that beliefs systems that contradict this are inherently immoral, and whatever is rationally built on the premise is within the ream of objectivity.

That was a very impressive way of dodging the potential cognitive dissonance that would come with realizing you supported the same act that a feminist would.

It'd be feminism to merely fight for women, but the YPJ also heavily promote feminism in their ideology.

Suffrage and women in the workplace were inevitabilities in civil society that didn't necessarily require liberation movements to "make it happen."

Suffrage was pretty widespread in most states, the south and a few backwater northern states aside.

Meanwhile, traditional norms that barred women from pursuing professional or higher academic aspirations were steamrolled into obsolescence by the natural transformation of society that occurred as the boomers came of age in the wake of the pill's invention, and in a society characterized by mass communication of progressive ideas (via television) on an unprecedented scale.

As women entered the workforce, they established a significant economic stake in society, which tends to command its own collective bargaining power sociopolitically speaking.

And you earnestly believe that feminism had nothing to do with any of that? One day, women just woke up and were like, "hey, we want rights too" and then after they accomplished that, someone came up and was like, "hey, I'm going to form feminism around the idea of women having rights!". That timeline seems off to me.

Idiots like Anita Sarkeesian and SJWs killed what feminism truly stand for. Instead of fighting for meaningful stuff like equal right/pay, neo-feminism get outraged over dumb s*** like female characters in comic books, movies and video games wearing bathing suits or skintight outfits, women being too pretty and having non-realistic body types or other ridiculous things. Marvel currently tried to pander to these people and it backfired.

When it was originally conceived of, it was chiefly focused on addressing the huge gap in rights between men and women. The intention was always to bring women up to equal standing to men. Once that is done, I guess the name could be changed? We obviously have achieved equality though, since women still aren't being paid an equal wage for the same jobs men are doing.
