Why do they hate Trudeau so much?
Really slow with marijuana legalization, took in 50k refugees from Syria, accepted refugees crossing the Canada-US border following the Trump election, broke his promise on election reformation despite it being a campaign promise, some scandals involving his cabinet like one who turned out to not be where she thought she came from and a military officer who vastly overstated his role in some Afghanistan operations, his father was PM decades ago and was bad for Alberta's energy industry so the name Trudeau is poison around those parts, I think the budget was pretty bad for middle-class Canadians but I haven't looked into it too much.
At least in Ontario, the Liberal name is pretty tarnished after over a decade in power and plenty of scandals. However, most of the criticism I see levied toward the federal Liberals are to do with Trudeau's immigration and refugees policies. My city used to have a lot of Chinese immigrants from just before and after the Hong Kong handover and now they're being outnumbered by Arab immigrants, which bothers them.
